On the occasion of the 82nd death anniversary of Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore, discussion, recital and Rabindra Sangeet event “Shravan Dhara” was organized.
Poet Professor Nripendra Lal Das was present as the main speaker in the event organized by Srimangal Cultural Academy and in collaboration with Srimangal Upazila Press Club at the Srimangal Upazila Press Club Auditorium on Monday evening.

President of Srimangal Culture Academy, Journalist Bikul Chakraborty, discussed poet Rabindra Nath Tagore, Srimangal Upazila Executive Officer (Acting) Sandhip Talukdar, former Director of Sylhet Department of Health Department Dr. Haripad Roy, Srimangal Victoria High School Principal Ayan Chowdhury, Srimangal Upazila Press Club functionaries discussed about poet Rabindra Nath Tagore. President Shamim Akhtar Hossain Mintu and recitalist Debashish Chowdhury Raja.
Cultural personalities Bulbul Anam Chowdhury, Debbrata Dutta Habul, Prasenjit Roy Bishu, Shyamal Acharya, General Secretary of Srimangal Upazila Women Awami League Rina Sarkar, Poet Sanjit Biswas, Prothom Alo representative Shimul Tarafdar, Dainik Jayzaidin Srimangal representative Shafiqul Islam, instrumentalists were also present. Malay Dutt, Varna Chakraborty, Russell Ahmed and Rajesh Bhowmik among others.
Music was performed by music teachers Krishna Sutradhar, Jaya Shyam, Shelly Sutradhar and Ullas Debnath. Prominent recital artist Debashish Chowdhury Raja recited.
