A member of the District Lawyers’ Association Adv Fariduzzaman organized a press conference at Joypurhat Press Club conference room on allegations of cheating around Tk 3.5 crore against the couple living in Joypurhat town on April 27.
In his written speech in the press conference, Adv Fariduzzaman alleged that Abu Hena Ful of Natunhat Sardar Para area of Joypurhat town along with his wife Selina Akhtar and father-in-law Anwar Hossain embezzled about Tk 3 crore with the collaboration of fraud syndicate. He was also not spared from them. He was also cheated with a fake check for a loan of Tk 5 lakh. Similarly, Abu Hena Phul has embezzled crores of Takas with the help of his syndicate from various people of the area by giving government and private jobs by fraud.
Due to being cheated in this regard, the individuals have filed several cases, but they have not been punished. Rather, fraudster Abu Hena Phul is currently promoting himself as powerful by distributing visiting cards printed in the area claiming to be a member of the sub-committee on religious affairs of Bangladesh Awami League, Joypurhat unit.
In these circumstances, the lawyer also demanded that immediate legal action be taken against Abu Hena Ful and his wife and brother-in-law, including recovery of embezzled money under investigation. In addition to lawyer Fariduzzaman, fraud victim Farhana Mushtari, SM Rashedul Hasan and Jewel Hossain were present in the press conference.
