Palashbari upazila administration of Gaibandha district has celebrated the birthday of martyr Captain Sheikh Kamal. After paying tribute to the temporary portrait, a discussion meeting was held in the town hall of the Upazila Parishad today, August 5, Saturday morning.

Under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Kamrul Hasan, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman SM Rafiqul Islam Ripon spoke as the chief guest.
District Awami League Vice President Abu Bakar Pradhan, Upazila Awami League Vice President Principal Saifulyar Rahman Chowdhury Tota, Upazila Parishad Female Vice Chairman Anwara Begum, Thana Officer Incharge Arju Md Sajjad Hossain, Upazila Awami League Former Vice President Shahidul also spoke at the meeting. Islam Badsha, freedom fighter Abdur Rahman, Upazila Animal Resources Officer Aftab Hossain, Reporters Unity President Ashraful Islam, Palashbari Women’s College Lecturer Tahmina Begum, Women’s Awami League President Sabina Yasmin Jhunu, National Workers’ League’s former general secretary Mahmuduzzaman Margh and others.
Upazila administration officials, leaders of various political, social, professional, cultural organizations, teachers-students, municipal officials and employees, local media workers were present.
