Shilaidah Union in Kushtia’s Kumarkhali has been jailed by a mobile court for illegally extracting sand from Baro Mazgram Padma Char.

This mobile court was conducted under the leadership of Assistant Commissioner (Land) Kumarkhali and Executive Magistrate Md Amirul Arafat at Shilaidah Union Rd Mazgram Padma Char on Wednesday.

Mobile court judge Md. Amirul Arafat sentenced Akman’s son Majid (35), a resident of Bara Mazgram of Kumarkhali upazila, to 20 days imprisonment.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Md. Amirul Arafat confirmed the matter and said that such mobile court operations will continue in public interest.
