The police recovered the body of a teenager named Abdul Karim (19) from Jaflong Ballaghat Piain river in Goainghat upazila of Sylhet.

His body was found in the Payain river below Jaflong tourist spot Ballaghat Mosque around 12 noon on Wednesday (August 2).

The deceased Abdul Karim is the son of Abdul Kashem of Jafflong cluster village.

It is known that on Tuesday (August 1) Karim went out to cut grass for cows and did not come home. Later on Wednesday, around 12 noon, his body was found in the Payain river below the Jaflong tourist spot Ballaghat Mosque.

His body was recovered in the presence of Jaflong tourist police officer-in-charge Ratan Sheikh and Goainghat police station OCKM Nazrul.

Jaflong tourist police officer-in-charge Ratan Sheikh said – no injury marks were found on the body. The body was recovered and sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
