Finally, 4 members of the anesthetic spray party were caught by the police in Shaistaganj. On Saturday, 4 members of the gang were arrested with the help of public representatives and locals under the leadership of Nazmul Haque Kamal, officer in charge of Shaestaganj police station.

For the past 1 month, around half a hundred houses have been stolen by applying anesthetic spray in various areas including Shaistaganj, Chunarughat. Again some houses fail. A commotion started across the district. Many prepared for human bonding. But the human chain was suspended with the assurance of the administration.

Meanwhile, Superintendent of Police SM Murad Ali recently discussed the issue of Shaistaganj in a press conference and tasked the police administration to eradicate the spray party members. Since then, under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police Khalilur Rahman, Shaistaganj Thana Police, public representatives have taken positions at various places with the local people. Still the spraying continued one after the other. Locals keep guard along with the police in every neighborhood and mohalla. As a result of this operation, 4 people were arrested.

The arrested are Hazrat Ali, son of Abdul Kadduch of Ghatail village in Kishoreganj district, Sumon Mia, Shaheen Mia and Jamal Mia of Ladia village in Shaestaganj upazila.

OC Nazmul Haque Kamal said, various items were seized from them and they confessed to the incident during preliminary interrogation. In this incident, the police will file a case and send it to the court to be remanded. Apart from this, a related police source said that the police will conduct a combing operation from now on.
