10 people have died due to dengue fever in the last 24 hours across the country. With this, the number of deaths due to dengue this year has increased to 716.

This information was informed in the notification sent from the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Department of Health on Saturday.

It is said that in the last 24 hours, 2 thousand 748 people have been admitted to the hospital due to dengue. 1 thousand 697 of them are outside Dhaka.

From January 1 to September 9 this year, one lakh 45 thousand 335 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue. Among them, 66 thousand 65 people were admitted to different hospitals in the capital and 79 thousand 270 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.

Last year, 281 people died due to dengue in the country. This year has already surpassed that record. Apart from this, 179 people died in dengue in 2019. 7 people died in 2020 and 105 people died of dengue in 2021.
