The police recovered the hanging body of a young man named Shipu Mia (30) from a mess in Sylhet metropolis.

On Thursday (August 24) around 4:30 pm, the Amberkhana Outpost Police recovered the body from room No. 239 on the third floor of the market called ‘Bari Mansion’ adjacent to the Golden Tower of Amberkhana.

Shipu is the son of Abdul Latif of Bharargaon in Dirai Upazila of Sunamganj District.

The in-charge of Ambarkhana outpost SI Mofiz Uddin confirmed the recovery of the body.

He said – ‘Based on the news of the locals, we came and recovered the body. The body was hanging from the ceiling fan by means of a rope. At first it seems like suicide. The details can be said when the post-mortem report of the body is received.
