In Gobindganj of Gaibandha, child Hossain Ali (7) was killed after being hit by child Iman Ali (8) while playing.

Bulbul Ahmed, Inspector (Investigation) of Gobindganj Police Station confirmed the matter on Monday (August 21).

According to the locals, Hossain Ali son of Moynul Islam of Mia Para of Shalmara Union of the upazila and Iman Ali son of Moazzem Uddin Golzar of the same village were playing. At one stage of the game, a brawl took place between the two.

At that time, a knife in Iman Ali’s hand was thrown at Hussain Ali. Later that knife hit Hossain Ali’s left eye. The injured were rescued by the nearby people and taken first to the Upazila Health Complex and later to Bogra. He died on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at a private hospital there.

Inspector Bulbul Ahmed said that police have been sent to the spot. There is no opportunity to take legal action against that child.
