On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha in Habiganj, fake money is being spread by targeting animal markets. Counterfeit money dealers have already appointed agents at various points. Like every year, fake money has been spread through these agents. Counterfeit notes of lakhs of rupees have been released in the market targeting Eid-ul-Azha. More than half a hundred circles are active in Habiganj to release more notes. They are spreading counterfeit notes starting from 500 taka to 1000 taka in the market.

Besides, the nuisance of pickpocketing parties in markets has increased several times. As Eid is approaching, the presence of buyers and sellers has increased in Pasurhat.

It is known that fake money is scattered in the markets of sacrificial animals. Also, other Eid purchases are also desperate to spread fake money. Therefore, because the law-enforcement forces and common people are more aware than other times of the year, fake note dealers are caught more. However, even if a case is filed against them, they are not punished. Those cases kept hanging for years. Criminals get out through loopholes in the law.

However, according to the police sources, the law enforcement forces have started an operation to catch the active local and foreign counterfeit money business cycle ahead of Eid al-Adha. The campaign has already started. RAB and police will be in the animal market in white clothes.

In the last few years, hundreds of local and foreign members of counterfeit money business circles have been arrested in raids in various parts of the country. Among these, there are instances of the same person being arrested several times after being released on bail and again engaging in counterfeit money business. Newly, women are also said to be indulging in fake money business. In various operations, various equipments for making fake money, laptops, printers, dices, cutters, raw materials necessary for preparing fake notes worth crores of rupees, paper, ink, watermarking materials have been recovered.
