Housemaid arrested with cash in Panchlaish Police raid

11,000,00Tk stolen by housemaid recovered and 01 housemaid arrested by CMP’s Panchlaish Model Police Station.
Police say, “The plaintiff in the case, Ahmed Nasimul Huda (64), locked the door of his house, House No. 73, Sanmar Eldorado, Flat No. B/5, Panchlaish Residential Area, Panchlaish Model Police Station, on March 11th at approximately 10:00 AM and went to India with his family for his wife’s treatment.
While going to India, the plaintiff left a key of the house with Hasina Sultana (78), the closest relative of the plaintiff’s wife, on the 2nd floor of the same building.
The plaintiff’s housekeeper, Jannat (28), the closest relative of the plaintiff’s wife, used to take the house key from Hasina Sultana every day, clean the house, return the key and go to her current address after completing the cleaning work. Then, on March 23rd at approximately 1:00 PM, the plaintiff and the plaintiff’s wife came home from India and found that the steel locker in the plaintiff’s bedroom was open and the 01 pair of gold earrings, weighing 08 Ana, 01 gold necklace, weighing 02 vori, total 02 vori 08 Ana gold ornaments, estimated value 3,50,000/- Taka and cash 13,50,000/- Taka and when searching for the house maid of the house, she could not be found.
She went into hiding. When the plaintiff informed the Panchlaish Model Police Station about the matter, SI Riyad Uz Salehin of Panchlaish Model Police Station along with the officer-force conducted a raid in the Shulkbahar Wapda Road area under Panchlaish Model Police Station on 25 March and arrested the accused- Jannat (28), the house maid of the plaintiff’s house.
Based on the information provided by the arrested accused, a raid was conducted at the residence of Halia Para, ward 1 of Katharia UP under Banshkhali police station in Chittagong district, i.e. the current address of the accused- Jannat, and the stolen cash of Tk 11,00000/- was recovered as shown by the accused and brought out by himself.
A regular case has been registered against the accused and sent to the court.
