The army has arrested four terrorists with country-made weapons in Boalkhali, Chittagong.

On Friday (April 25), at around 4:30 am, a special operation was conducted under the leadership of Lt. Col. Md. Salah Uddin Al Mamun from the Sreepur Kharandip area of ​​the upazila and they were arrested.

At that time, 4 rounds of rifle ammunition, 10 rounds of shotgun ammunition, 3 passports, 25 mobile phones, 21 country-made weapons and 1 lakh 76 thousand 4 hundred 25 taka were seized.

The accused are Shahidul Alam (38), Md. Jane Alam Nannu (40), Zubayed Akbar (26), Md. Morshed (47).

Lt. Col. Md. Salah Uddin Al Mamun said, they had been carrying out terrorist activities in the Kharandip area for a long time, including drug trafficking, extortion and illegal sand mining. Based on information from the locals, a special operation was conducted and they were arrested, and the seized goods and the accused, who are in good health, will be handed over to Boalkhali Police Station for legal proceedings.
