Principal Moni Shankar Bhoumik received Bangladesh India Friendship Award

Principal (Acting) Moni Shankar Bhoumik of Jawa Bazar Degree College has received the ‘Bangladesh India Friendship Award-2024’ for his special contribution in the field of education.
On Friday (May 31) afternoon, the Bangladesh-India Harmony Festival was officially handed over at the Central Kochi-Kachcha Auditorium in the capital, Segunbagicha. It was organized by an organization called India-Bangladesh Cultural Society.
Justice SM Mojibur Rahman was the chief guest on the occasion under the chairmanship of brave freedom fighter Justice Dr. Md. Abu Tariq. Former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General (retd) M Haroon-or-Rashid Birpratik was the special guest.
Moni Shankar Bhoumik started his career by joining the Department of Economics as a Lecturer in Jawa Bazar Degree College, Chatak, Sunamganj. Currently he is serving as Principal (Acting) of this college. He unstintingly helped poor and talented students. He is playing a leading role in the expansion and improvement of education in the area. He has a reputation in the area as an education enthusiast.
He is working as a member of Bangladesh Awami League, Chatak Upazila Committee and president of Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad, Chatak Upazila Committee and working with various progressive social and cultural organizations.
