Air force training plane crashed in CTG; One pilot died

An Air Force training plane crashed in Patenga area of Chittagong city. At that time, the two pilots in the plane were able to parachute down, but the squadron leader Asim Jawad died. Another Banouja is under treatment at Isa Khan Hospital.

The accident happened around 10:30 am on Thursday (May 9).

It is known that the YAK130 training fighter aircraft of the Air Force from Zahurul Haque base was flying over the boat club in Patenga area when suddenly a fire was seen at the rear.

Then the plane crashed and fell into the water. Bangladesh Navy tugboats, divers, fire fighters, police, sailors of ships stationed at the port are working to find it. The pilot and co-pilot were rescued and admitted to the Combined Military Hospital.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a YAK-130 (YAK 130) training fighter of the Bangladesh Air Force has crashed in the Patenga area due to mechanical failure. Two pilots of the plane were rescued.

Group Captain Taslim Ahmed, director of Shah Amanat International Airport, said the Air Force training plane caught fire at 10:28 a.m. while landing. Two pilots managed to parachute down. Efforts are underway to rescue the crashed plane.
