People hate Awami League now: Manna

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, president of Nagrik Oikya, has commented that Awami League’s political defeat has occurred due to the people’s involvement in the ongoing simultaneous movement demanding the government’s resignation.

He said, people now hate Awami League due to corruption and looting. People from all walks of life want the resignation of this government. No good is possible for anyone in this country until they leave.

He said these things at the discussion meeting titled ‘Role of student society in the current political crisis of Bangladesh’ organized by Bhasani Chhatra Parishad at the central office of Bhasani Anusari Parishad in Purana Paltan of the capital on Wednesday.

Manna said that whenever the opposition party gives a program, Awami League gives a counter program. Awami League created unrest by shooting at their peaceful program. In fact, Awami League can break, not build.

He also said that the demand for free, fair and impartial elections has now become a mass demand. The international community has now also emphasized the demand for fair elections in Bangladesh.

Under the chairmanship of Bhasani Student Council convener Mohammad Shakeel and moderated by member secretary Faizullah Noman, Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, convener of Bhasani Anusari Parishad, Zaheer Uddin Swapan, convener of BNP’s media cell, Jonaid Saki, chief coordinator of Mass Solidarity Movement, Sharikul Islam Riad, president of Islami Chhatra Andolon Bangladesh, also spoke. Chhatra Dal Vice President Tabibur Rahman Sagar, Nagrik Chhatra Oikya President Mosharraf Hossain, General Secretary Tariqul Islam, Bangladesh Students Federation General Secretary Saikat Arif and Acting President of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad Tariqul Islam.
