Town Hall Meeting 2 was held at Srimangale Primary School in Moulvibazar on the spontaneous citizen participation initiative in the school budget.

On Monday (August 28) in the afternoon in the hall of the Upazila Agriculture Office, a town hall meeting was organized by the Multipurpose Socio Economic Development Association (MSEDA) and the Institute of Information and Development (IID) to initiate spontaneous citizen participation in the school budget in primary schools.

The main objective of the town hall meeting was to take school principals, managing committee presidents, parent representatives, conscious citizens, youth of the area, student cabinet opinions, NGO representatives, teachers, public representatives, students to present the budget based on the needs of the school, prepare the budget, Informing about sleep budget, UPEP budget, campaigning, counselling, yard meeting, participation of men and women, taking suggestions, presenting open budget according to government policy and presenting it at national level.

Among the guests and participants, through the projector spide, various data from the women’s men’s survey were presented in school budget preparation. Upazila Chairman Bhanulal Roy was present as the chief guest. He said, expressed gratitude and thanks to MCIDA and IID for involving me in a practical research program on primary education through town hall meeting.
Jyotish Ranjan Das, Acting Upazila Primary Education Officer, Zahir Ali, Acting Principal Srimangal Government Girls High School, NGO workers, parents, conscious youth, teachers, students and others were present as special guests in the MCDA Chief Executive Tahirul Islam Milon. Md. from Dhaka on behalf of IID research. Two researchers named Zarif Hossain and Tanvirul Islam presented research topics directly through projector spide.
