Human chain demanding the arrest and execution of those involved in the protest of Masud’s murder

An hour-long human blockade was organized at Kochshahr Shaheed Minar at 11 am on Thursday morning by the Kochashahr hosiery traders and local residents who protested the brutal killing of Abdur Rahman Masud, the owner of Nationer Hosiery and the lab assistant of Gobindganj Shamim and Shakeel Technical College in Kochashahar Makandpur Kunder Para village of Gobindganj upazila. A protest rally was held. Upazila Awami League Joint General Secretary and former UP Chairman Abu Sufian Mondal, Cultural Affairs Secretary of Upazila Awami League Rabiul Islam Shamim Mondal, Kochshahr Union Awami League President Mizanur Rahman presided over by former Panel Chairman Borhan Uddin Lelin, Kochshahar Union Jubo League President among others spoke. Ashraful Islam, general secretary of hosiery industry Iqbal Hossain, former head teacher Rafiqul Islam, assistant teacher Shariful Islam, prominent businessman Majnu Mia, father of deceased Masud Alhaj Azizar Rahman, his wife Machuda Bewa, daughter Farzana Akhtar, daughter-in-law Farida Varveen and others. The speakers demanded immediate arrest and execution of those involved in the brutal murder of Gobindganj Shamim and Shakeel Technical College lab assistant Abdur Rahman Masud and demanded the intervention of the honorable Prime Minister.

The speaker also said that if those involved in the killing of Masood are not arrested within the next 48 hours, they will give a strict program.

Note: Last Monday evening, Abdur Rahman Masood, the owner of Nationer Hosiery of Kochashahar Makandpur Kunder Para village and Lab Assistant of Gobindganj Shamim and Shakeel Technical College, went to Nayarhat Hosiery Market for business work and was killed by two assailants on his way to the mosque.
