Maritime Institute will be inaugurated very soon in Madaripur under the control of Chittagong.

As a partner of this, the shipping sector has also been able to play an important role under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina’s government. Therefore, with the aim of creating skilled human resources in the shipping sector, related organizations including training institutes are working tirelessly. Referring to the setting up of Maritime Institutes in different parts of the country, Minister R said that the construction of Madaripur Institute facilities and procurement of equipment under the control of National Maritime Institute Chittagong has been completed. Madaripur Institute will be inaugurated soon. There it will be possible to provide training to 600 people annually in 2 batches of 300 people per batch. In continuation of this, under the kind guidance of Hon’ble Prime Minister, the activities of setting up National Maritime Institute, Dinajpur, Kurigram, Rajshahi and Meherpur have been taken up. Which will be possible to implement by 2026.

Chittagong 11 Constituency Member of Parliament M.A. Latif MP and Senior Secretary of Shipping Ministry Mr. Md. Mostafa Kamal were the special guests on the occasion. Chairman of Chittagong Port Authority Rear Admiral Mohammad Sohail was the guest of honor, Chairman of National Maritime Institute gave welcome speech on the occasion Captain Ataur Rahman. Military and civil dignitaries of the country, representatives of domestic and foreign ship owners and agents were also present on the occasion.

In the closing parade KM Mainul Islam received gold medal as all rounder and Md Mehdi Hasan Himel received silver medal also 177 trainees participated in the course.
