The former Prime Minister of Norway said that the Finnish flag will be raised for the first time at the NATO headquarters on Tuesday afternoon. This will be a good day for Finnish security, Nordic security and NATO as a whole.

Stoltenberg also said that Türkiye is the latest country to approve Finland’s membership. The country will hand over the official message to US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday.

Moscow said it would strengthen its defenses in the region if Sweden and Finland join NATO. As part of this, Moscow has also warned that nuclear weapons will be deployed on the border between the two countries.
