The police have arrested three people in connection with the death of a teenager named Suhail Ahmad (16) due to a dispute over the road to the house in Sylhet’s Jokiganj. Jokiganj Thana Police conducted a raid in the upazila’s Dakshin Khalachra village on Wednesday (March 29) night and arrested them.

The arrested are Abdul Malik (57), Abdul Khaliq (55) and Abdul Malik’s son Abdullah Al Mamun (22) of Dakshin Khalachra village of Zakiganj upazila.

According to police sources, Suhail Ahmad (16), who was injured in a fight between two sides due to a dispute over the road to his house in Jokiganj, Sylhet, died on Tuesday (March 28) while undergoing treatment. The deceased Suhail Ahmad (16) is the son of Luku Mia of Dakshin Khalachra village of Jokiganj upazila. He was a class 10 student of a local school.

In this incident, when a complaint was lodged at Jokiganj police station, they were arrested by conducting an operation in the village of South Khalachra of the upazila. The police said that necessary legal measures are being taken against the arrested accused.
