Sylhet Representative/
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented that Awami League has destroyed the economy for its own sake. He said, Awami League is smuggling money abroad. The bank is emptying. Again they are spending extra money by implementing various big projects including Padma Setu, Udal Setu, Metrorail. During our time, the cost of Padma Setu was estimated at 10 thousand crore rupees. They built the bridge at 30 crore rupees. Contracts with Indian companies are giving losses of 1.5 lakh crore rupees. But the price of electricity is increasing repeatedly in the country. People can’t eat. Awami League has destroyed the country’s economy for its own sake, destroyed the freedom of the press, destroyed the education system. Today, all the educational institutions are under the control of the Chhatra League.
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the Biennial Conference of Metropolitan BNP at Sylhet Sadar Upazila Sub Registry Ground at 11 o’clock on Friday (March 10). Under the chairmanship of metropolitan BNP convenor Abdul Qayyum Jalali Panki and joint convenors Rezul Hasan Lodi Qais, Saleh Ahmad Khosru and Humayun Kabir Sahin, the acting chairman of the party took part in the conference virtually.

Mirza Fakhrul also said, the government is talking about so much development, then why is there unrest in the country? This government has not done a single good thing. Rice is not available below 70 rupees. The people of the country are disoriented today due to the increase in commodity prices. Where will people go today? Gas-electricity prices are being increased again and again.
