The police recovered the body of a person from a pond in Lalabazar area of South Surma in Sylhet. However, the identity of the body is not known.

The body was recovered from the pond behind the Hormuz Ali filling station between Rashidpur and Lalabazar in South Surma on Wednesday (March 8) around 3 pm.

After the recovery, the police prepared a report and sent the body to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital for autopsy.

Inspector (Investigation) of South Surma Police Station Suman Kumar Chowdhury confirmed the matter.
