Awami League will not allow BNP to be a joke election: Mirza Fakhrul

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has warned that BNP will not allow Awami League’s joke election in the tattered constitution.

The general secretary of the party issued this warning to the government in a rally before the march of BNP in Uttara of the capital on Saturday afternoon.

He said, ‘Government ministers said that the election will be held under the current constitution. Which constitution? Awami League arranged for the election of the constitution that is torn apart? People do not go to vote in elections. In previous elections, dogs were lying in polling stations. This picture has been circulated in the media. Seeing this, one of our leaders said Kuttamarka election. Organized elections are being organized once again.

He pointed out that the election would not be neutral if the current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was under it and said, “This time, the election of Awami League will not be allowed to be a joke election.” There is a peaceful movement for this.

Mirza Fakhrul urged the activists to take this ongoing movement forward.

He said, ‘I have been in the movement for 15 years. We will be in movement. If it is obstructed, we will overcome it.

At this time, he announced a new program of simultaneous movement in all cities and districts of the country on March 11.

This program was announced in protest against the increase in the prices of daily commodities including gas and electricity along with 10-point demands including the resignation of the government. The new program is the 10th program of simultaneous movement. Since December last year, the BNP-led opposition has been conducting a simultaneous movement through mass marches, mass sit-ins, demonstrations and marches and marches.

Apart from this in Dhaka, the program of padayatra was held at 49 other police stations. Members of the party’s standing committee, vice chairman, members of BNP chairperson’s advisory council and other leaders participated in it.

Central leaders along with members of the party’s standing committee led the march at the police station level in other cities outside Dhaka.

Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir alleged that the current government is not able to solve the problems of the people of the country.

He said that the price of electricity has been increased three times in a few months. In this, the price of goods has increased again. Gas prices have increased. Due to this, it is difficult to keep the factory running.

Mirza Fakhrul claimed, “The government has signed an agreement with India’s Adani Group.” Will buy coal, buy electricity. Even if they do not provide electricity, the government will have to pay the cost. In this, the government will have to pay more than one hundred thousand dollars in damages.

He also commented that the current government has no responsibility towards the people.

At this time, he mentioned the scholarship exam result scandal and the incident of torture of female students in the Islamic University a few days ago.
