The country has now become a paradise for corrupt people. Corrupt people get respect here. They are controlling the government and the country. Jatiya Party Chairman and Opposition Deputy Leader GM Quader made this comment after inaugurating the academic building of Dhaknai Technical and Business Management College of Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila on Saturday afternoon.
Claiming that there was no such unusual increase in the prices of goods during the month of Ramadan when he was the Minister of Commerce, he said that the market prices of daily commodities have increased many times ahead of Ramadan. There are no signs of stopping. It is very sad. Commissions were formed during his time to stop syndicate and monopoly business. It is not visible at present.
At that time, Zahid Hasan, member secretary of the district Jatiya Party, along with other leaders and activists were present. Later he left Lalmonirhat in the afternoon for Rangpur.
