A worker’s league leader named Nazrul Islam Khokon of Chittagong has been accused of framing one false case after another. It is also known that the members of the corrupt gang and the broker syndicate of BRTA are conspiring to file many more cases by arranging fictitious plaintiffs from different parts of the country for speaking against irregularities and corruption. Nazrul Islam Khokon, General Secretary of Chittagong Autorickshaw Autotempu Sramik League (Reg.No.-Chatt 1469) has given a written complaint to the Secretary of Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Inspector General of Police (IGP) on these issues last Thursday (February 7).
Confirming the allegations, Nazrul Islam Khokon told Morning Glory that a corrupt circle is behind him to humiliate him. One false case after another is being filed against him by making up fictitious incidents and false allegations are being made in various departments. Although one case was proved false by police investigation, many false cases were also reported as true for mysterious reasons. Meanwhile, he also said that if he is on bail in all the cases, he is trying to get caught by the police and hang him in a false case. They put sources behind me. So, to avoid harassment, he made a written request to the higher authorities of the police.
In the written application, Khokon also said, “He has been involved in Awami League politics since his youth, and was the General Secretary of Bangladesh Road Transport Workers League (Reg. No. B-2091) of Chittagong district since 2013. Since 2016, Chittagong Autorickshaw Autotempu Sramik League has been elected as general secretary and has been serving. Participated in all programs of Awami League on behalf of the organization.
