In Narayanganj-1 (Rupganj) Constituency, Awami League nominated candidate Golam Dastgir Ghazi (Bir Pratik) election camp has been attacked and vandalized, looted and set on fire. The incident took place in front of Tirmara Zinda Latif Market of Daudpur Union of Upazila on Monday morning.
Ahmed Ali Shikder, a freedom fighter of Daudpur Union, said that a group of terrorists led by Rubel, Sagar and Khokon attacked the camp on Monday.
Rupganj Upazila Awami League senior vice president and Daudpur union former chairman Alhaj Tofazzal Hossain Molla said that the attack was carried out to influence the parliamentary elections.
Daudpur Union Awami League President Freedom Fighter Afaz Uddin Khan said, this incident is sad. Necessary action should be taken after proper investigation.
