BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi commented that the government’s final journey will be on the day the election schedule is announced. He made this comment at a press conference at BNP’s central office in Nayapaltan in the capital on Saturday evening.

Rizvi said, “The government will ask the Election Commission to announce the schedule soon. But remember, the people of the country demand fair elections, right to vote. If you ignore it, people will not accept it. The elections of 14 and 18 were controversial. There is no acceptance of that choice anywhere in the world. There will be no elections in the country like before. The intense movement of the people will bring down the government of Nishirat.

Ruhul Kabir severely criticized the Chhatra League’s student rally and said, ‘Chhatra League has reached the space. If only their leader had told them what they would do in space. What is the work of hammer and stick forces there? Biswajit is not there. There is no return. So what will the chapati and helmet forces go there?’

He said, “Chatra League’s rally was held on Friday. BNP’s foundation anniversary procession has also taken place. There were so many people in this procession that there was no space on the road ahead. But we had one day of preparation. And to go to the Chhatra League rally, the car, hotel seats, launch were given free. After stopping the food in the hall, that food was brought to Suhrawardy to feed the Chhatra League.

Adviser to BNP Chairperson Abdus Salam, Joint Organizing Secretary Selimuzzaman Selim, Joint Science and Technology Affairs Secretary Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul and others were also present in the press conference.
