A discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the celebration of National Fisheries Week-2023 on the activities taken by the Directorate of Fisheries to achieve the protection and prosperity of fisheries resources at Kumarkhali in Kushtia under the slogan “Safe Fish Replete Desh Garbo Smart Bangladesh”. The meeting was organized by the upazila administration and fisheries department at the upazila parishad hall on Monday morning, July 24.
Under the chairmanship of Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Mahmudul Hasan, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer Agriculturist Md. Raisul Islam, Upazila Fisheries Directorate Field Assistant Aslam Hossain and others spoke at the meeting. In the meeting, a documentary on the progress and success of the current government in the fisheries sector was shown.
Later, the field assistant of the Upazila Fisheries Department discussed the action plan of the 7-day National Fisheries Week from July 24-30.
