Conspiracy to turn the next generation into atheists: Charmonai Pir
Amir Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim of Charmonai Pir and Islamic Movement of Bangladesh has alleged that there is a ‘conspiracy to make the next generation of the country atheist’.
He made this complaint on Saturday at the concluding session of the three-day Falgun Mahfil organized at Charmonai Madrasa Maidan.
Charmonai Pir said, ‘There is a conspiracy to turn the next generation into atheists through a syllabus full of inconsistencies including unscientific and irrational evolutionism. Such a syllabus cannot be allowed to continue in the country of 92% Muslims.’
He said, ‘Bangladesh is going through a critical period today. If you want to establish permanent peace in the country, Islam must be victorious at all levels. We want to present the true beauty of Islam to the people of the country by making Islam victorious.’
At that time, Charmonai Pir announced a protest program in police stations across the country on February 25 to demand the cancellation of ‘atheist textbooks including evolutionism’ and compulsory religious education at all levels.
The three-day Falgun Mahfil organized at Charmonai Madrasa Maidan concluded with the final prayer on Saturday morning.
