Hazrat Maulana Abdul Ghaffar (58), prominent scholar of Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar, president of Kamalganj Qoumi Madrasa Development Council, founder principal of Patakushar Mahila Madrasa, former principal of Jamea Darul Hadis Munsibazar and khatib of Siddheshwarpur Sajeda-Bari Noor Jame Masjid, is under treatment at Sylhet Osmani Hospital on Thursday morning. passed away

At the time of his death, he left numerous relatives and fans including his wife, 3 sons, 2 daughters. His death cast a shadow of deep mourning in the scholarly community.

At 2.30 pm on Thursday, the funeral was held at the premises of the women’s madrasa of Parka Usha, and the burial was held at the cemetery of Paka Usha. On his death, Member of Parliament of Moulvibazar-4 (Kamalganj-Srimangal) Constituency and former Chief Whip Deputy Principal Dr. Md. Abdus Shaheed expressed deep grief.
