Lutfur Rahman (Uzzal): Marks Active School Chess Competition Finale and Prize Distribution held.Deputy Commissioner of Bandarban Yasmin Parvin Tibriji was present as the chief guest at the function organized at Police Lines Auditorium on Monday (October 6).

Superintendent of Police Bandarban Md. Tariqul Islam,PPM presided over the event.

Municipal Mayor Md.Islam Bebi,Additional Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Pal, Additional Superintendent of Police Nazim Uddin,Executive Magistrate of District Administration Rajiv Kumar Biswas, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md. Salah Uddin were present as special guests.

In the tournament,the students of Donbosco High School won the tournament champion trophy with 23 and a half points in 7 games.
Students of Bandarban Cantonment Public School and College bagged the runner-up trophy with 20 points in 7 games.The second runners-up of the tournament were the students of Balaghata Bilkis Begum High School.

Besides,treasurer of district sports organization Mong Ching Pru, chess coach and fide rated player Ratnajoy Tanchangya (Ratan), fide arbiter of Bangladesh Chess Federation Shahjahan Kabir were present on the occasion.

The program was conducted by the official of Chess Academy MA Momen Chowdhury.
A total of 7 rounds were played in the tournament.
