On the occasion of World Sight Day, a rally and discussion meeting was held in the city on Thursday under the initiative of Netrakona BNSB Eye Hospital. At 9:30 in the morning, the rally started from the Sadar Upazila Parishad square and went around the main main road of the city and ended at the eye hospital.

Later, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mahmuda Akhtar, District Press Club Vice President Vir Muktijoddha Haider Jahan Chowdhury, Public Works Secretary Shyamlendu Pal and Safe Road Movement President Abdul Hakim spoke in the discussion meeting held under the chairmanship of Hospital Advisor Matior Rahman Talukder.
