The girl’s family is in trouble after filing a gang rape case

The girl and her family are in trouble after the gang-rape case in Banyachang. Due to the threats of the accused, they are not able to leave their houses and go anywhere. In addition, the families of influential rapists and their people are threatening the victim’s family to withdraw the case. Even Zainal Mia, the son of Askar Ullah, the accused accused in this case, still remains beyond the reach of the law. They are showing fear by going around openly. On the other hand, the victim girl has stopped menstruating for 5 months since the incident.
It is known that a girl (15) of Ichhabpur village of Kagapasha union of Baniachong upazila of Habiganj district was gang-raped by Shariat Ulla, Zainal Mia, son of Askar Ulla of the same village, from her home on March 25 in the evening at a secluded place in Nabiganj area. Four days after the incident, the police rescued the victim girl from the hands of the accused and admitted her to Habiganj Sadar Hospital. However, the accused escaped while rescuing the victim girl. Later, the elder brother of the girl filed a case in Baniachong police station as the plaintiff. Following this, the police arrested Shariat Ullah, Kala Mia and Azad Mia. However, Joynal Mia, one of the accused in the case, remains out of the picture. Now he is roaming around openly and threatening the victim’s family.
The victim’s family alleged that the police are not arresting Zainal. The proceedings of the case are being disrupted due to Zainal’s threats. The girl is currently spending days in a sick state.
