The number of dengue patients is increasing. In the last 24 hours (till 8 am on Saturday), 80 new dengue patients have been identified. Seven of them are outside Dhaka.
Earlier this year, so many dengue patients were not detected in one day. This information was informed in a press release sent by the Department of Health on Saturday.
Earlier on May 20, 52 people were admitted to the hospital due to dengue infection. According to the information of the Department of Health, including these 80 new patients, the total number of dengue patients this year stands at 1,704.
Out of this, 585 patients are from outside Dhaka. About 202 dengue patients, including 26 outside Dhaka, are still under treatment. A total of 13 dengue patients have died so far this year.
According to the Department of Health, a total of 281 people died of dengue last year and 62,382 people were admitted to the hospital. 23 thousand 162 people were admitted to hospitals outside Dhaka.
