Democracy will be restored in the country very soon: Nazrul Islam
Sylhet Bureau/
Nazrul Islam Khan, a member of the National Standing Committee of BNP and former ambassador, said that when the Prime Minister of the country says that ‘no one wants to keep him in power’, he does not understand that Awami League has no ground under its feet. The time of Awami League is over, people across the country are united against this government today. Therefore, every leader and worker of the party should unite and take to the streets against this government. BNP is agitating on the ground with the just demands of the people, so the people are with the BNP. The movement should be continued with the people. We will be victorious in this struggle. Democracy will be re-established in the country very soon and people’s government will take charge of the country Inshallah.
The city court on Friday afternoon as part of BNP’s centrally announced program in protest against ‘high court directives by courts and government in contempt, arbitrary arrests in absconding cases, false cases and police harassment, hike in commodity prices, electricity load shedding, totalitarian corruption of Awami government and demand implementation of 10 points’. He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the public meeting organized by BNP in Point Sylhet district and metropolis.
Regarding the upcoming city corporation elections, he said that when the people of the country are on the move, the Awami League is playing a farce with the countrymen in the name of elections. The people of the country have boycotted this election in various cities. There should be more good news in the next day or two. Abstention means not only not being a candidate, but also not working for another candidate in the entire election process. BNP will not take part in any election under Awami League. The party will remember those who accept party decisions.

There are thousands of cases against millions of BNP activists, many activists are in jail today.
