Cox’s Bazar 2,000 houses destroyed in Moka rampage: Deputy Commissioner

According to Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shahin Imran, 2 thousand houses of Cox’s Bazar have been destroyed by Cyclone Moka. Apart from this, another 10,000 houses in the district were damaged in the cyclone, he said.

He gave this information to the media around 6:30 this Sunday evening.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Shahin Imran said that at least 2,000 houses in the district were completely destroyed due to the impact of Cyclone Moka. Apart from this, 10,000 houses have been partially damaged.

He said that Teknaf-Saint Martin island suffered the most damage in the cyclone. On the island of St. Martin alone, 1,200 houses were completely destroyed.

The Deputy Commissioner also said that several people were injured in the cyclone. However, no one has been reported killed so far, he said.
