New Zealand won the fifth T20 against Pakistan by 6 wickets. Chasing a huge target of 194 runs set by Pakistan, the Kiwis won with 4 balls to spare.

It was in this match that Kiwi batsman Mark Chapman scored his first T20 career century to win the match.

Before that, however, there was a lot of drama. Mark Chapman’s timing was not right in the last ball of the 18th over of the game. The catch went up behind the bowler, Shaheen Shah Afridi could not catch that catch after running back. By that time, Chapman has taken 2 runs. 98 to 100 . The century played a major role in the team’s victory.

Batting first, Pakistan scored 193 for 5 thanks to Mohammad Rizwan’s brilliant innings. Chasing that run, Chapman’s incredible unbeaten 104 off 57 balls in an innings, New Zealand won the match with 4 balls in hand.

With this victory, the Kiwis evened the five-match T20 series 2-2. Babar Azmar also surpassed Ewin Morgan and Asghar Afghan (42) to become the captain with the most matches in T20 Internationals. The fourth T20 of the series was marred by rain.

Chapman came to the crease after New Zealand lost 3 wickets for 26 runs in the chase. Only the fourth over of the innings was going on. From there, a partnership of 47 runs from 37 balls with Darryl Mitchell. Mitchell was out for 15 off 18 balls. In the 10th over, New Zealand were 73 runs. The rest of the story is Chapman-Jimmy Neesham duo. Or it can be said only of Chapman.

Neesham was great company. Chapman scored a 30-ball fifty, and still did not think that the match could be lost to Pakistan. But Chapman did just that. 4 sixes, 11 fours in an unbeaten innings of 104 runs off 57 balls. On the other side, Nisham did not go short. 45 off 25 balls with 2 sixes and 4 fours. With that, the match went out of Pakistan’s hands.

Chapman also scored a century, his team also won. On the other hand, Mohammad Rizwan had to face the opposite fate. Despite not getting a century, this Pakistani opener created a storm with the bat. Batting first, Pakistan scored 193 runs for 5 wickets with his innings of 98 runs from 62 balls with 4 sixes and 7 fours.
