The EC has written to the remaining 8 parties who boycotted the dialogue to sit in the discussion

The Election Commission (EC) has written to the remaining 8 registered political parties who boycotted the dialogue following BNP’s continuation. Letters were sent to these groups on Thursday. Along with BNP, these parties boycotted the Election Commission’s official dialogue in July last year. EC sources have informed this information.

When asked about this, Additional Secretary of Election Commission Secretariat Ashok Kumar Debnath said, 8 political parties have been invited for informal discussions. The letter was sent by courier. These groups did not participate in the previous dialogue.

On March 23, the Election Commission issued an informal letter inviting BNP to dialogue. The position of BNP was sought in writing from the EC.

It was also mentioned in the informal letter of the EC that if BNP wants, it can also sit in discussions with its like-minded parties.

However, the party has already informed that they will not hold talks with the EC. Will not give any official response to the letter. Letters were sent to the remaining 8 parties that boycotted the previous dialogue on Thursday.

According to EC sources, the 8 parties that have been invited are – Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB), Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (BASD), Bangladesh Muslim League-BML, Bangladesh Kalyan Party, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD), Liberal Democratic Party (LDP). , Islami Andolan Bangladesh and Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP).

The EC held a dialogue with registered political parties in July last year. Nine political parties including BNP boycotted the dialogue.
