The Left Democratic Alliance, Gaibandha District Branch held a protest march and rally to protest against the increase in prices of fuel, fertilizers and daily commodities and to demand universal rationing and fair price shops.

On Wednesday (March 22) at noon, the procession started from railway gate No. 1 of Gaibandha city, circled the main main road and gathered at the railway gate.
At this time, Left Alliance District Coordinator and Basad District Convener Golam Rabbani spoke, Basad Marxist District Convener Ahsanul Habib Saeed, District Communist Party General Secretary Mostafizur Rahman Mukul, Revolutionary Communist League District Secretary Revati Barman and others.

The speakers said that due to the increase in the price of fuel, oil and gas, the price of daily commodities has gone beyond the purchasing power of the common people. In the villages and towns there is a cry among the people. They demanded immediate introduction of universal rationing system. At the same time, he demanded to stop conspiracies regarding the upcoming national elections and hold elections under a neutral supervisory government.
