International Women’s Day was celebrated in Kishoreganj of Nilphamari with the theme “Digital technology and innovation will eliminate gender discrimination”. On the occasion of the day at 11 o’clock on Wednesday (March 8) the upazila administration and the upazila women’s affairs officer’s office organized and BRAC with the support of social empowerment and legal protection programs, a procession and a discussion meeting were held.  After the procession, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad hall under the chairmanship of UNO Nur-E-Alam Siddiqui, while highlighting the significance of International Women’s Day. Upazila Parishad Female Vice Chairman Shapla Begum, Upazila Muktijoddha Parishad spoke. Former Commander freedom fighter Abdul Gani, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Sanjeeda Rahman, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Moshammat Sabiqun nahar, Upazila Branch BRAC Social Empowerment and Legal Protection Program Officer Mokhleshur Rahman and other officials of various departments were present.
