Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has mentioned that the seven-storied building damaged by the blast in Gulistan has become a dangerous building. He said that the basement and ground floor of the building were damaged to a considerable extent. So the next activities will be done with sufficient preparation.
He said these things to the reporters after visiting the scene on Wednesday afternoon. The minister said, we are conducting experiments. The root cause of the explosion will be known by testing.
The rescue operation is going on in the building for the second day today. The Home Minister said that police, army and Rajuk experts are assisting the fire service in the rescue operation.
At this time, he called upon the public to follow all the rules in the construction of buildings and to get permission from the fire service.
The explosion took place in a seven-storey building next to the BRTC counter in Gulistan at 5:30 pm on Tuesday. Brigadier General Director of Dhaka Medical in this incident. Nazmul Haque confirmed the death of 17 people. Hundreds were injured.
The bodies of 16 of the victims have already been handed over to their families. There are currently 19 people under treatment at DMK Hospital. 10 more injured people are receiving treatment at Sheikh Hasina National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. The rescue operation is going on in the building for the second day today.
