The next program of the Democracy Stage has been announced. This alliance will organize a human chain program in all the divisional cities of the country including Dhaka on March 11.

The coalition leaders announced this program from the protest rally organized in front of the National Press Club on Saturday under the banner of ‘Unite for the purpose of changing the government and regime’ under the initiative of the Democracy Forum against the suppression of the opposition political leaders and the unbridled increase in the prices of goods.

Mahmudur Rahman Manna, the convenor of Nagrik Oikya in the rally, said that in 2018, this government has been criticized internationally both inside and outside the country after voting during the day at night. The Japanese ambassador said the day’s voting took place at night. Various representatives of America are coming to this country again and again – this shows how much pressure this government is doing. This government is again telling the foreigners – acceptable elections. No matter what the foreigners convince us, we will not go to the elections under you again. Just as we can hold peaceful programs, we can also create violent movements. To suppress our movement, the government is filing assault cases against the leaders and activists of the opposition party.

He said, we are already discussing the outline of the simultaneous movement with BNP and soon the democracy platform with BNP will be on the streets with a one-party program to bring down the government.

General Secretary of Revolutionary Workers Party Comrade Saiful Haque said that Awami League has counter-programmed today in the name of peace rally on the day of the opposition party’s program. People called this kind of program nervous party program. Awami League cannot stay in power without terrorism. They have exposed all of Bangladesh by exposing the student. So there is no other option but to send them away.

He said that before and after the fast, the democracy stage will be in simultaneous movement with the BNP. I will see off this government with a mass movement between the two Eids. Within the next few days, the BNP and the Democracy Forum will announce the outline of the joint movement. People will not return home without achieving victory.

Jonaid Saki, the chief coordinator of the Mass Solidarity Movement, said, “Today we are marching as part of the simultaneous movement. We are today under a government system that has put the people in dire straits by raising the prices of all things. They are busy figuring out how to loot thousands of crores of rupees and divide them among themselves.

In the president’s speech, Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, convener of Bhasani Anusari Parishad, said that the government has already started talking about dialogue. First you have to resign, then we will consider whether to negotiate with you. Discussions on simultaneous movement with BNP have started, the movement will continue until the demands are met.

He warned that if the contract with Adani Group is not canceled immediately, a bigger program will be announced.

Advocate Hasnat Qayyum, chief coordinator of the state reform movement, said, “We have given a 14-point call for democracy platform.” It should be implemented by everyone united.

General Secretary of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) Shahid Uddin Mahmud Swapan said that everyone knows how miserable people are living today. Every day the government is increasing the prices of goods without control. This mafia government does not care about the people. So people have no choice but to fight to survive.
