Jubo League conference after a century and a half. Rajbari District Jubo League conference is finally going to be held on March 4 after 18 years of three-month convening committee. Rajbari District Jubo League tri-annual conference is going to be held on Saturday after 18 long years. This conference will be held at Shahid Khushi Railway Ground of the district. All preparations for the conference have already been completed. There is great enthusiasm among the leaders and workers around the conference. A dozen former Chhatra League leaders and activists are vying for the post of president and general secretary. Leaders are expecting lakhs of activists to gather in the conference. After a long time Rajbari district Jubo League conference, the city is covered with billboards, festoons, lighting, posters. The leaders and activists are optimistic that the conference of the district Jubo League will be held in a peaceful manner.

Talking to Jubo League leaders and workers, it is known that the conference will be inaugurated at 10 am on Saturday and Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash will be present as the chief guest. Bangladesh Awami League presidium member Shajahan Khan MP will be present as an honored guest. Bangladesh Awami Jubo League General Secretary Alhaj Md Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil will be present as the main speaker.

District Jubo League joint convener Abul Hossain Shikder said that new enthusiasm is working among the leaders and workers around the district Jubo League conference. All preparations for the conference have already been completed. He also said that more than 50 thousand Jubo League leaders and activists will attend the district Jubo League conference. He said there is competition within the party for the leadership position but there is no conflict. Rajbari District Jubo League conference will be held peacefully.
The last President of Rajbari District Jubo League was Ali Hossain Poni and General Secretary was Prashit Chowdhury Bishu. After the death of Prashit Chowdhury Bishu, Abul Hossain Shikder served as acting general secretary. In 2005, a convening committee consisting of 31 members was held for three months by announcing Md Zahurul Islam as convener and Abul Hossain Shikdar and Shah Md Jahangir Jalil as joint convenors. However, even after 18 years, Rajbari District Jubo League committee has not been formed.

Meanwhile, pictures of national and local leaders have been placed around the district Jubo League conference. The highway is surrounded by banner-fentuns. The supporters of the president, general secretary candidates are giving their photos for and against.

8 district Jubo League president candidates and 10 general secretary candidates have submitted their resumes to the central committee. The current president of Rajbari Sadar Upazila Jubo League Md. Mostafizur Rahman Sharif, former president of District Chhatra League Asaduzzaman Shamim, former GS of Rajbari Government College Ashraful Islam Asha, former Chhatra League leader Nuruzzaman Mia Sohel, former Chhatra League leader Haripad Sarkar Rana, Chhatra League leader Shamim Reza Liton, District Chhatra League former general secretary (acting) Al Masood, Rajbari Government College Chhatra League former president Parag Ahmed and District Jubo League former president’s son Ali Sadman Rudra have submitted their resumes.
In addition, Central Jubo League member Yasir Arafat Ramim, District Chhatra League’s former president and general secretary Zakaria Masud Rajib, District Chhatra League’s former general secretary Saiful Islam Ershad, District Chhatra League’s former vice president Nahidur Rahman Raju, Sadar Upazila Chhatra League’s general secretary Shihab AhmedStudent leader Kazi Anwar Hossain Roni, General Secretary of Sadar Upazila Jubo League Shaukat Hasan, Chhatra League leader Jiban Biswas, Tofazzel Hossain and AKM Ripon submitted their resumes.

In this regard, the joint general secretary of the central Jubo League – Subrata Pal said that the committee of the district Jubo League will be handed over to the competent leadership consisting of qualified student leaders, fresh and old.
