National Insurance Day 2023 was celebrated through a rally-discussion meeting in Moulvibazar.

National Insurance Day 2023 was celebrated on Wednesday (March 1) at 10:30 am organized by Moulvibazar district administration. On the occasion of the day, a rally was taken out in front of the press club. The rally went around various roads and ended at Moulvibazar Circuit House. Later a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of Moon Hall, Circuit House.

Deputy Commissioner Mir Nahid Ahsan was present as the chief guest in the discussion meeting.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Subhanshu Som Mahan presided over the meeting as special guests were Sylhet Assistant Vice President and Regional Head of Chartered Life Insurance Company Limited Sajed Ahmed Tashhood, Moulvibazar Insurance Officer Welfare Council President, AS Saleh Sohel. In addition, the officers and employees of all public and private life insurance and general insurance institutions of the district participated in the rally and discussion meeting.
Chartered Life Insurance Company Limited has got the responsibility of the first Mato National Insurance Day program in Moulvibazar. The day is being celebrated with the theme ‘If we are protected by insurance, we will move forward together’. On March 1, 1960, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman started working at the then Alfa Insurance Company. Since then his government has been celebrating 1st March as National Insurance Day every year.
