A child named Naeem Mia (6) was killed after being hit by an easy bike in Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha.

The accident took place on the east side of Kathalatli Bridge in Kamalerpara Union of Saghata Upazila of the district on Sunday (February 26) afternoon.

The matter was confirmed by Kamalerpara Union Parishad (UP) member Abdur Gafur Mia.

Naeem Mia is the son of Ashraf Ali of Nasirarpara village.

UP member Abdur Ghafoor Mia said that Naeem Mia was playing at that time. In the meantime, an easy bike left from Mahimaganj was going towards Jumarbari. At that time, Naeem was pushed when he reached the place adjacent to Kathalatli bridge. The child died on the spot.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Saghata police station Raju Sarkar was contacted on the phone in this regard, but the phone was not received.
