Dhaka/

The BNP has alleged that the government, afraid of the mass movement, is repressing and creating riots. The party said the government was trying to control politics to continue authoritarian rule.

Syed Imran Saleh Prince, acting office secretary of the party, said these things in a press conference at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on Tuesday.

He said that the right to conduct politics and political programs independently is constitutionally recognized. Government party leaders often say that everyone has the right to do politics in the country. In front of the foreigners, they said that the government provides full cooperation in carrying out the program of the opposition party. This statement of the government is fabricated and baseless. Obstacles are being created in every meeting of the opposition party.
Prince said that last Monday, the government used the administration to suppress the leaders and activists in various places, creating obstacles, imposing restrictions and attacking them during the program in front of the peaceful program of rallies and marches to demand the implementation of 10 points and reduction of electricity prices nationwide. In most places, pressure is created by the administration not to carry out this program.

BNP organizing secretary Abdus Salam Azad, central leader Mir Sarafat Ali Sapu, Taiful Islam Tipu, Anisur Rahman Talukder Khokon and others were present in the press conference.
