Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has put six proposals before the G-20 alliance of 20 largest economies in the world. He made these proposals to the G20 alliance by connecting virtually from Gana Bhavan at the opening ceremony of the ‘Voice of the South Summit 2023’ held in Delhi on Thursday (January 12).
For sustainable global economic growth and development of Southern Hemisphere countries, Sheikh Hasina said, now is the right time to work collectively to make the current global economy (Russia-Ukraine war and the Covid-19 pandemic) a fair and acceptable economic system.
Prime Minister’s proposals are:
To maintain world peace and stability in the larger interest of humanity.
Creating new paradigms to tackle overall inequality in parallel with the SDGs.
Special financing for the most vulnerable countries including least developed countries, climate vulnerable countries.
Bridging ‘digital divides’ to ensure equal opportunities for all, including women. Investing in the youth population
Reaping the benefits of the fourth industrial revolution. And hence financing and technology transfer.
Ensuring every human being has an equal right to live well
Strengthen South-South and Trilateral cooperation to ensure global human development.
