The newly elected chairman of Chapainawabganj Zilla Parishad, the brave freedom fighter Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin, and the newly elected members also took charge. On Thursday morning, the chairman and the members accepted this responsibility in a joyful atmosphere.
When the newly elected Zilla Parishad chairman and members reached the Zilla Parishad office, the Zilla Parishad officers welcomed them with flowers. Before that, they paid respect to Bangabandhu’s portrait. Later, the first meeting was held with the newly elected chairman, members and reserved members in the hall of the district council.
Chief Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad Afaz Uddin presided over the meeting as the Chief Guest, the newly elected Chairman brave freedom fighter Alhaj Md. Ruhul Amin spoke. The chief guest said, with the cooperation of all, I will make all efforts for the social development of Chapainawabganj through the district council with honesty and devotion.
Ferdosi Islam Jesi MP, Member of Parliament for reserved seat, among others spoke at the meeting. Chairman of various upazilas, UNO, municipal mayor, leaders of organizations including Awami League and local dignitaries including Zilla Parishad officials were present in the event.
