33 officers of Police Inspector (Unarmed) rank and 7 Police Inspector (City and Vehicle) rank of Bangladesh Police have been promoted to the post of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) of BCS Police Cadre. After promotion they were posted as ASP at Police Headquarters.

The promotion was given in a separate notification signed by Sirajam Munira, deputy secretary of the police division of the public security department of the home ministry on Tuesday (January 9).

The officers promoted from inspector unarmed are- A. Razzak, Md. Sarwar Hossain, Subrata Banerjee, Md. Abul Bashar, Md. Rafiqul Islam, Md. Mosharraf Hossain, Rabiul Hasan Sarkar, Md. Shamsul Alam Khan, Md. Rabiul Hossain, Md. Rashedul Islam Biswas, Md. Wahiduzzaman Molla, Md. Dadon Fakir, Md. Moniruzzaman, Md. Shahjahan Ali, Md. Golam Morshed Talukdar, Md. Matiar Rahman Mia, Anshu Kumar Dev, SM Mahbubul Alam, Md. Mamun Al Rashid, Ganesh Gopal Biswas, Jalil Ahmed, Zobairul Haque, Gholam Mohammad, Md. Motiur Rahman, Md. Moinur Rahman, AKM Farooq Hossain, Md. Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, Kazi Wazed Ali, Mohammad Zahir Uddin, Md. Mominul Islam, Md. Anwarul Azam, Munshi. Asadullah and Md. Shahidul Haque.

The officers promoted from police inspector (city and vehicles) are- Md. Akhtar Hoshain, Md. Akhtar Hossain Mia, Abu Hajjaz, Md. Swaib Ali (Sapu), Abduch Chalam Miah, Mizanur Rahman and Khandaker Iftekhar Hossain.
