If you lose, you lose the series, if you win, you have a chance to return to parity. The Sri Lankan cricket team has done a great performance in such a tough match.
India-Sri Lanka will meet in the second T20I of the three-match series at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune on Thursday.
Indian captain Hardik Pandya invited the visiting Lankan cricket team to bat first after winning the toss.
Batting first, Sri Lanka built a mountain of 206 runs for 6 wickets in the batting tandem of Kushal Mendis and captain Dasun Shanaka. Dasun Shanaka scored an unbeaten 56 off 22 balls with two fours and six sixes for the team. Besides, Kushal Mendis scored 52 runs in 31 balls with the help of three fours and four sixes.
Batting with the target of winning the series, India lost 5 wickets for 57 runs and got cornered. However, Suryakumar Yadav (51 from 36 balls) and Aksar Patel (65 from 31 balls) were dreaming of winning the batting rampage. After that, due to another batting disaster, India ended the innings at 190/8. Sri Lanka tied the series at 1-1 with a 16-run victory.
Earlier in the first match of the series, Sri Lanka went to the shore chasing 163 runs. The visitors lost by just 2 runs. The third and final match of the series will be played in Rajkot on Saturday.
